Get to Know Us

The idea of Quesos Mena was born in 2017 with the aim of adding value to the milk from our own livestock, which consists of Florida breed goats. However, it wasn’t until the end of 2021 that we started commercializing our first products. We are a family-owned and completely artisanal cheese factory, where our cheeses are carefully crafted one by one from start to finish. This allows us to guarantee high quality when selling our products. Our goal is to bring to your tables a healthy cheese, with the traditional flavor that reflects all the work, dedication, and passion we put into it every day.

Descriptive Report

At Quesos Mena, we are dedicated to the aging of goat cheeses and their subsequent sale to the public. We are livestock farmers, and the cheeses we market are largely made with milk from our own animals. We milk and store the milk, which is then transported to Real de la Jara (Seville), where the cheese is produced. The cheese returns to our facilities within 2 to 8 days to be matured, refined, and put up for sale by us. Our future goal is to manufacture in our own facilities and thus be able to “close the circle.”

Livestock

For our animals, Florida breed goats, we have adapted barns equipped with all the necessary amenities for their well-being and comfort, as well as to facilitate our daily handling. Additionally, they have access to large outdoor patios.

FACTORY: We have complete facilities for a small-scale artisanal cheese factory, including a workshop, a small laboratory, a cold storage room, a maturation room, a restroom, and a small office. However, as indicated at the beginning of this report, only the storage rooms are currently in use.
